Yes, SLIM Companion Explorer supports mapping of source properties to SharePoint / OneDrive for Business columns. The following source properties are supported:
- Modification date
- Size
- Path
- Name
Capturing the original path and name details are particularly useful in combination with the option to "skip folders and flatten the folder structure". This way the original folder hierarchy is captured in columns.
Note: the original creation date and creator are not available and are therefore not supported.
Explorer can also extract the create and modify date from a variety of file formats (docx, xlsx, pptx, vsdx, doc, xls, ppt, pdf, msg, eml, png, jpg) and capture the values into SharePoint column. This column can be used to apply retention labels based on the actual modify dates extracted from the files and not the operating system modify date.
