Summary of migration capabilities

SLIM Companion Explorer provides the following migration capabilities:

• Upload complete folder structures on Chrome, Edge, Opera, FireFox and Safari
• Migrate from local computer, USB drives, CDs, DVDs, file shares, Box, Google Drive, OneDrive, DropBox and SharePoint 2007/2010/2013/2016 (through file explorer)
• Support for SharePoint Online (Office 365), Office 365 Groups, SharePoint 2013, SharePoint 2016 and SharePoint 2019.
• Fast by using parallel processes (default 3)
• Support for custom metadata (and Content Types)
• Map source properties to target properties (e.g., keep the original modification date)
• Automatically fix illegal characters
• Automatically zip blocked files
• Automatically reduce long item names
• Report on items with too long URL's
• Flatten folder structure (and create documents with unique names)
• Migrate content volumes of 10's of GB's (larger volumes can be easily split)
• Support file sizes up to 100 GB (on SharePoint Online)
• Throughput (end-to-end) up to 18 GB per hour (depends on available bandwidth and ingestion rate SharePoint)
• Extensive logging (plus option to save the log file)
• Resilience for network or server glitches

Explorer provides users with a powerful migration tool that is browser-based and does not require any software installs. The tool is highly scalable because it can be used by multiple users at the same time.
