How do I upload an email from Outlook?

Uploading emails from Outlook is easy when using Chrome or Edge: simply drag one or more emails from Outlook directly to the required location in the Explorer tree. The email is uploaded as an msg file.

Users with FireFox, IE11 or Safari need to follow a two-step process:
1. Open Outlook and drag one or more emails to the desktop (or another location on the local computer)
2. Then drag the email(s) into the required location in the Explorer tree.

SLIM Companion Explorer will automatically extract email metadata and populate the corresponding SharePoint / OneDrive for Business columns. The user can also specify values for other custom metadata fields (e.g. used for Records Management purposes) prior to uploading.
